The Music Therapy Charity funds essential and pioneering research and training which support the growth and reputation of the profession. Robust evidence is needed to enable music therapy to progress, to advance into new fields and increase delivery to people who need it.

We have invested over £1m in high quality research and training to support the music therapy profession
Over the past 10 years we have funded 491 high-quality research projects, covering topics from youth at risk to dementia
Last year we helped fund 58 trainee music therapists, providing vital financial assistance to those who need it most
The Music Therapy Charity has funded at least 10 significant PhD Doctoral Research Projects by pioneers in the field which led to new approaches for diverse populations in music therapy
